speaking of older women

once again my affinity for older women manifests itself.

(h/t folo)

get it!!

this has really been my biggest concern with the congressional activities concerning the bajillion dollar bailout. i'm all for the domestic relief, social programs, and job creations that it will bring. but i can't fathom the ridiculousness of these wall streeters who are using our money for the purposes that Senator McCaskill mentions. more funny coverage of the senate lioness here.

i love old women, in a non-creepy way.

i guess we should apologize for not posting, like ever. but we are working on our senior honors theses. and desperation has set in: coffee, cigarettes, and whiskey providing temporary albeit necessary relief. i know that all 2.4 readers of this blog have been anxiously awaiting our next post. anyway, i saw this hilarious video on the dish. watch it and see why i love old women.

on to crooked politics:

i thought the whole point of MAEP was to make it illegal to NOT fully fund public education in Mississippi. i guess appeasing the wealthy tobacconists is more important to Haley & Phil than making sure our fourth graders can read. link.

more here on why it is getting harder and harder to attract any type of legitimate business to this state. the prospects are not lookin so good for a fresh grad!

okay enough fun stuff for tonight. back to the dungeon.

Talk About Crooked

Did you see this?

I'm not sure what SOS Hosemann's intentions are, but I cannot grasp why he would put the most prominent senate race in decades, and in my lifetime, at the bottom of the ballot with the local Joe Shmoe. I can only assume it was an attempt to bury Musgrove's name recognition. Maybe he has another reason, but until he let's the MS electorate know why, I'll just stick with my assumption.

they can probably drink in Europe

June 6 staff conference made public on barackobama.com.  Obama thanks his Chicago staff, most of whom he's unsure if they're of drinking age, for helping build "the best political organization in America."

Department of Button Outreach or...not

Obama seems eager to reach out to fringe groups with his campaign button selection, while McCain seems determined to first shore up his ties with the more conservative wing of his party.  And, it looks like he still has a few St. Patty's Day buttons in stock if that's up your alley.
